through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the majestic Tizi-N-Tichka
pass to reach the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This
breathtaking location has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood
movies such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Jesus of Nazareth”. Explore the
kasbah with our knowledgeable guide as we stroll around the dried river
and climb up the highest hill to enjoy a spectacular view. Continuing
our adventure, we will visit Ouarzazate, the gateway of Sahara, and then
make our way across the valley of roses and Skoura palm grove before
arriving at Dades gorges. Here, you will be treated to a scrumptious
dinner and spend the night in a charming hotel amidst this magnificent
location.
After breakfast, our journey begins at 8:00 AM as we drive through the
road of 1000 Kasbahs, passing by some beautiful Berber villages on the
way to Tineghir. Here, we will witness the stunning palm grove before
continuing our adventure to Todra Gorges, where you can hike through
the 300m high canyons. Afterwards, we will head towards Erg Chebbi
dunes in Merzouga. Before we embark on a two-hour camel ride through
the dunes, take a refreshing dip in the hotel swimming pool. Then, we
will proceed straight to the Desert camp where you can enjoy a
delicious dinner and spend the second night.
You'll
rise early at 5:30 am to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the
desert, have a satisfying breakfast at the bivouac and set off on a
camel ride to begin our journey towards Fes via the serene Ziz valley,
Errachidia and Midelt. During the trip, we'll pause for a lunch near
the Azrou city and take a stroll in the cedar forests, where you may
come across the playful monkeys. Later, we'll proceed towards Fes,
concluding our unforgettable 3-day desert excursion from Marrakech.
